Trequanda is a quiet hilltop village that lies between the chianti, brunello and vino nobile wine regions. Siena is only 45 minutes away, through the Tuscan hills over one of the most beautiful country roads in Tuscany. Florence is an hour and a half away, Rome 2-½. The quiet streets of the village wind past the family-owned bakery and up into the piazza that is ringed with the castle, the café, news shop, osteria, pharmacy and two lovely village churches.

Views of the countryside abound. The village also has a pizza/crepe restaurant and a small, wonderful contemporary Tuscan restaurant that is a regional destination among those who know.
